Chemworld International Ltd. is a trusted acid dyes manufacturer and supplier serving industrial buyers in North America and across the globe. Acid dyes are water-soluble anionic dyes that form ionic and hydrogen bonds with protein and polyamide fibers, making them the go-to choice for coloring wool, silk, nylon, and leather. Our acid dye range covers more than 90 shades from deep blacks and navies to vivid reds, yellows, and specialty greens. Material is available as dry powders and liquids, in sample or bulk quantities, with no minimum order requirement on most SKUs.
Whether you need a standard Acid Red 52 for a textile run or a specialty Acid Blue 277 for a technical application, our team provides fast quotes, batch consistency testing, and same-day shipping from our New Jersey warehouse.
With over 30 years’ experience of supplying acid dyes in the USA and North America, Chemworld brings unmatched batch-to-batch consistency, competitive pricing from direct manufacturing relationships, and expert technical support for color matching and application challenges.

The color shades displayed should only be considered a representation of the indicated dye or pigment. Actual color can depend on varying factors, including the desired application. Product samples are recommended for testing before use and/or purchase.
Acid dyes are primarily used to color protein fibers such as wool, silk, and leather, as well as synthetic fibers like nylon and some acrylics. They are called 'acid dyes' because they are applied from an acidic dyebath — not because they are corrosive. Common industries include textile manufacturing, leather finishing, paper coloring, and aluminum anodizing.
Acid dyes bond to fibers through ionic attraction and are best suited for protein and nylon fibers, while Reactive dyes form a covalent chemical bond with cellulosic fibers (i.e. cotton). If you are dyeing cotton, reactive or direct dyes are the better choice. For nylon or leather, acid dyes would deliver superior results.
No minimum order quantity is required on most of our acid dye SKUs. We supply both small sample quantities for trials as well as full bulk orders. Contact our team for immediate pricing information.
Yes. Chemworld's lab capabilities include custom acid dye blending and formulation. Our technical team can help you develop a color match for your process conditions and end-use applications.
Acid dye powders should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use. Most acid dyes have a shelf life of 5+ years under proper storage conditions. Always review the SDS for specific handling guidance.
